A Regal and Royal Traditional Indian Wedding

Drop. Dead. Regal. In all its royal glory, we cannot wait to share with you all the elements of this wedding! Our bride and groom, nothing short of royal themselves, let us execute their dreams! This one is so special to us.

Mandap

Red velvet drapes?! Yes, we said this wedding was regal! With that resting as our backdrop, we brought in two solid, rich intricate designs in gold and white as our main center, and two additional gold frames on each side for the perfect symmetry! Beyond our frames, we laid several pots vertically on the ends of each frame! Then we added the chairs fit for the king and queen ready to get married in their palace. It’s so hard to peel your eyes away from the intricacies and rich colors that make up this mandap…

Aisle and all the Details

The royal mandap seamlessly leads itself to the aisle strewn with fresh rose petals on each side, a palatial floral arrangement in a perfect distance from each other in all its highs and lows plushly sitting on gold vases. And of course, no palace leaves out the details for their guests, and there was no exception here as we also provided the gold guest chiavari chairs because royalty should be felt by all!

Tips for Creating a Black, White and Gold Themed Wedding

When you think black you think intense, passionate, and sensational. When you combine black, white and gold it adds a character that is so powerful and unique. When I run out of ideas of matching my outfits, I often think of black. It’s the reliability factor, never disappointing. So, if you are thinking of a wedding around the color black, look at what we’ve come up with!

The Stage

It goes without saying that white on black is as classical as it gets. And when your intensely sultry bride adorns the powerful black, there is no other place that will shine her even more than her sitting on a crisp white throne and her feet touching the clean contemporary floor. Let the white in the throne and floor expand to the background as well and let it be the basis for the surroundings. The further you expand the white, the more the epicenter shines and the eyes fall on her. Adding a few black and gold drapes will add just enough melodrama that is needed to break the white to get you back on the center of attention.

Tablescape

The white from the stage surroundings and from the hanging chandelier continues to the top of the tablescape, with white florals filled to the brim, and rests on the centering gold linens. Add the black sashes on the Chiavari chairs to bring back just enough of the melodrama. So many little details to make it all look so powerful and sensuous!

We had such a great time creating a resplendent Indian Sangeet party surrounded with all the traditional elements and colors that created an exquisite symphony!

We brought in a traditional wooden swing for the bride and groom that was placed in front of the large windows overlooking scenic views of Boston! Thanks to the amazing collaboration with Silk Events, we were able to bring out the purple drape on the window with paisley designs done using spotlights by them. The hanging lanterns in each window added to all the elements of exquisite!

The colorful Moroccan lanterns with candles in each table were in perfect harmony to the overall theme bringing out the purple and paisley!
